The American Association of People with Disabilities will be on a jumbo screen throughout November in New York City’s Time Square. The video is a 15 second public service announcement, which aims to raise awareness of the organization and their mission, which is to “be a powerful voice for change -politically, economically, and socially - and to unite the diverse community of people with disabilities, including their family, friends and supporters.”
Andrew Imparato, President and CEO of the American Association of People with Disabilities, hopes that “viewers will visit our Web site for more information and sign up for our e-mail group, Justice For All, connect with us via our social networking channels or become a member.”

The video is of Rahnee Patrick, who is an AAPD board member and winner of the Paul G. Hearne Award, and attorney Howard Rosenblum, who is a deaf attorney from the Midwest Center on Law and the Deaf. Both tell viewers about the AAPD, why they support the organization, and ask them to learn more.

The American Association of People with Disabilities can be found on the web at www.AAPD.com, on Twitter, and other social networking sites. The video that is being shown in Times Square can be seen on their website, as well as special behind the scenes footage.
