An AMS wheelchair accessible van, similar to the one stolen.
On Sunday night in Pennsylvania, a man’s wheelchair accessible van was stolen from his driveway.
When Jason Hartel woke up on Monday morning, his van, a 1994 Chrysler Town and Country, was missing from his driveway. It was burgundy with wood paneling. Mr. Hartel has cerebral palsy, and has been in a wheelchair his whole life. The handicapped transportation in York Springs is not very good, so he uses the van for everything including his job as a part-time DJ.
Jason is upset that his van is missing since he just purchased it recently and is unsure if the insurance can replace it if it is not found. If you know anything about the van, please call the police at (717) 334-8111.
Jason said that he likes “being out, doing different things to help people. If I can’t get there with the van, I can’t help them.” If you are in his area, keep an eye out for the van!
