Looking for a wheelchair van…used…around the year in the 90’s. Please give any information on the prices of this age group. Looking for regular size van. Person is a paraplegic and has been driving a car for many years with controls. His car is no longer operable because it is a 1987. Thank you We want this person to drive the Van himself.

Hi:

I got a message from someone in your company who calls himself “wheelchair jones”

He wrote on our site: http://www.squidoo.com/PimpMyWheelchair

“We’ve debated handing out mini license plates when selling wheelchair vans to match the wheelchair to the van. Think that’s corny?”

Thought I would let Wheelchair Jones know that I don’t think it is so corny. I think some people would really get a kick out of it. Why not try it and see what response you get?

I have one of your vans, love it!! I live in NJ, in a Sr. Citizen development. On 2nd floor condo. Do not want to sell, I am in my 70’s. Would like to put outdoor stair lift, to take me up to my floor. (Two units on floor the other owner has no problem with this) Can the association stop me from doing this, or am I covered under some kind of disabilities laws?
All they will say, is submit all the paper work and we will decide. thanks Louise

“The Fair Housing Act also requires landlords to allow tenants with disabilities to make reasonable access-related modifications to their private living space, as well as to common use spaces. (The landlord is not required to pay for the changes.)”
