Church Grants for the Disabled

Churches often provide grants or other financial help for disabled people to buy a wheelchair van or other mobility needs. Also speak to your local church about holding a fundraiser to help a wheelchair user find handicap van funding. Religious groups often aid in the form of a grant that is free and not required to be repaid.

Be sure to remember that Church grants can be combined with other forms of grants, loans, or financial assistance for mobility vans, so be sure to look through the mobility finance page for other forms of help funding your handicap accessible van.

Churches - Disability Grants:

Christian Fund for the Disabled - Provides grant funds up to $2,500 nationally for as many qualifying individuals as possible through churches that are willing to provide matching funds along with consideration for those individuals unable to acquire matching funds.

Knights of Columbus - Provides help to families that have children with disabilities. (up to age 20)

Remember that these are national church groups, and you should speak to your local church representatives about helping you in the form of a grant or holding a fundraiser in your name.
