Transfer seats are mobility equipment that alleviate some of the hassle of getting in and out of the driver or front passenger seat of a handicap accessible van or vehicle for people with mobility limitations. Transfer seats allow for maximum entry and exit space to accommodate disability needs ranging from minor to severe.

There are a wide variety of transfer seats, from ones that simply turn to special wheelchair seats that lift out of the vehicle and become the base of the wheelchair. We are more than happy to install any type of transfer seat to meet your mobility needs.

Transfer Seat Options

The most common transfer seat installation option that AMS performs is the B&D Leadership 51 turning automotive seating system. Its 100-degree swivel is fully automatic, capable of moving in four or six different directions -- forward and back, up and down, and left and right in the 6-way -- to provide an easy, smooth transfer.
