My new AMS Wheelchair Van has been working just great. Before I purchased the Van, my wife a stroke victim and wheelchair bound had been stuck at home for a year or so after she broke her leg in a transfer fall. Since then, I have had to use a Hoyer to get her in bed or in her wheelchair. To take her anywhere I had to pay a service called Metro-Care here in Austin a 100 round trip to go to the doctor or to get her blood tested. My Wife did not get to go anywhere else.
Since we got our new AMS Van in December of 07, life has been much better. This is the middle of June and since December, we have been the movies four times, to the Doctor office twice, out of town four times and we have been out to eat almost every weekend. My wife calls going out to eat her weekly outing and looks forward to it very much. We also were able to make her Mom's funeral, which was very sad, but we could not have done it at all if not for our AMS wheelchair Van. And, we did get to see her Mom three times before the end who lived in Kerrville Texas, 120 miles from Austin, including at Christmas when she was doing much better.
One can only say that our AMS Van has been a life saver and worth every penny we paid for it. AMS came through for us in every way. I would like to say that the Van looks very good with its ground effects and Mag wheels. I have no trouble getting my wife in and out of the Van. If I go somewhere without my wife, I just reinstall the removable front seat which goes in and out with no trouble at all.
Since I am driving a wheelchair Van as my only personnel vehicle, I decided to max out the sound system and replaced everything. The existing sound system did work OK, but I wanted more sound. This was just for me, but I feel it was worth it because of the investment in My AMS Wheelchair Van.
Thank you AMS Todd for making my van purchase a pleasant one. Your prompt replies to my inquiries were most appreciated. I love my Legend side conversion Chrysler and thoroughly enjoy driving it!
It was getting time to replace my modified 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan, so I spent a rainy weekend researching the different van modification companies and looking over the local adaptive dealer's websites.
When I came across the AMS website, I was impressed and encouraged. Impressed with their 8020 philosophy of making their conversion simpler and safer and encouraged with their more affordable prices.
I appreciated the convenience of being able to see pictures with a thorough description and price for each van, the description and cost of each conversion type along with information on the six-way seat and hand controls. This information was very helpful - I did not need to wait until Monday and then spend hours calling multiple dealers to get the listed price on their vans. I also found the AMS informative videos useful in making my decision.
That Monday, I had the pleasure of speaking with Todd. I was sold! I wanted the AMS van, so I placed a deposit on a 2012 Chrysler Town Country. The van arrived at my door 4.5 weeks later and I love it. AMS also afforded me the convenience of trading in my 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan.
I highly recommend AMS to anyone needing a modified van.

IJust wanted to take a moment to thank you for all of your help. The van arrived this morning and if not for the odometer I could've sworn it was brand new. Everything top to bottom in it appears perfect.
We were a little hesitant since our communication was solely via email and telephone calls, but you made everything incredibly easy and that is greatly appreciated.
Also, the driver, Harvey, is fantastic. He is such a nice man that went over everything with my mom and I. Since he was going to arrive later than anticipated last night instead of rushing us yesterday he recommended we meet this morning to take possession of the vehicle as long as that was ok with us. He waited patiently as our mechanic checked out the vehicle and is just overall incredibly friendly. As the person that your customers meet face to face he is a great ambassador for your company.
Again thank you for all of your help and it has been a pleasure dealing with you, Harvey and your company.
With one intense headache my wife's life changed forever. We quickly realized that transferring her in and out of a wheel chair from my car was too much. My search was on for a van that would accommodate her needs. Spending hours each night I researched all the manufactures and weighed the pros and cons of each conversion.
Once I was educated, it was a no brainer. AMS won hands down from all the others. Conversions vary widely and I chose AMS because of the safety factors they retain with their conversions. I was, also, very impressed by the large inventory on hand at any given time.
Living hundreds of miles from Atlanta, I purchased a van, sight unseen. Their website had countless pictures of each van offered along with all the options and most importantly the price. One phone call to Jill and the ball was rolling. Couldnt have been any easier. No surprises, everything was up front and as it was advertised.
The van has opened up a whole new world of mobility and freedom for us and I would recommend an AMS conversion to anyone needing a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
