POSITION

AMS Vans, LLC is in search of contract 1099 CDL Class A Drivers to deliver wheelchair accessible vehicles to our customers in 48 states.  We are offering flexible full-time and part-time schedules to make nationwide deliveries.  As a driver, you must have a clean driving record, including DAC and PSP reports and able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.  AMS Vans, LLC abides by all DOT and FMSCA regulations.  Our contract drivers will be driving late model dually pickups pulling a 2-car trailer.  Deliveries typically take one to four nights on the road.  This is not a simple typical "drop" delivery. Our customers will need training on the operation of their new vehicle, especially the various modifications to make them wheelchair accessible. An outgoing personality and willingness to educate our customers is key.  It's as much customer service as it is driving. We are a small, but rapidly growing local company with a real family feel. You are not just a driver number, you would be a key part of the customer service process.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safe operation of truck and trailer to customer’s residence

  • Loading and unloading of vans

  • Demonstrate safe operation of the van and the conversion

  • Answer customers questions

  • Execute all sales paperwork and finalize the sale

  • Occasionally, picking up trade-in vehicles or purchase vehicles

  • Some automotive knowledge and a sharp eye for damage or defects is a plus

  • Adhere to DOT regulations and FMCSA

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be available to work weekends or holidays based on business needs 

  • Must be detail-oriented and have great organizational skills 

  • Ability to work in a team environment and be flexible to change 

  • Honest, ethical and handles things in a professional manner

  • Clean Driving record

  • Clear Criminal Background

  • Ability to Pass a Drug Screening
